The temporal points indicated by the mixed sound field emitted by twelve appliances formed this "clock." The sound emitted by the speakers causes slight vibrations in the metal rods and the nearby ground. Objects in front of the rods correspond to earlier symbolic representations of time—images of the twelve zodiac signs.
